1. What’s on sale this month?

First, when you consider that Prestige is the only major distributor of clinical supplies to always offer FREE SHIPPING on orders of $150 or more, * there’s ALWAYS a sale happening at Prestige! Over the course of a year, FREE SHIPPING can help you save hundreds of dollars!

What’s more, you can easily find our latest specials, sales and clearance items by scrolling to the bottom of our home page. There you’ll see several categories you can click on to see all our specials.

Finally, we almost always have more deals and sales happening. Our current specials are featured on our home page in boxes just beneath the main “splash photo”.  If you are ever curious about when a sale might be happening, this first section on our website is a great place to check out first. An even smarter idea is to have our specials sent directly to your inbox by signing up for our e-mail list HERE. And from time to time, we also offer special discounts and “scratch and dent” items featured in our Clearance section on our website.

2. What is the status of Ballet Insulated and SJ3?

As of June 2025 ~ Ballet Insulated needles are still out of stock. The manufacturer is estimating we will receive a limited supply in late July 2025. We are taking pre-orders now so we can order enough sizes to help facilitate getting probes out as quickly as possible. There is no charge initially for the pre-order, it simply helps us know the sizes and quantities you need.

As for SJ3 (SuperJuice), this product is still being reformulated to comply with FDA requests. We will send out an email to our subscribers once it is available again. As a reminder, only the 5% or lower lidocaine is approved by the FDA for over the counter purchase.

To keep up with all the latest product comings and goings—not to mention a whole lot of other useful information, alerts and advice—we highly recommend checking in with our regularly updated blog, The Current. You’ll find it in the main navigation bar on our website.

4. What’s the difference between “F Shank” and “K Shank” probes or needles?

We’re so glad you asked! The “shank” is the end of the needle that is inserted into the needle cord. So the type of shank you need is really determined by the needleholder cord that is compatible with your machine.

In the U.S., F-shank needleholder cords are the standard and these require an F-shank needle. Outside the U.S., K-shank needleholder cords tend to be more common and these require the narrower K-shank probes. The two types of shanks are NOT interchangeable.

If your machine is compatible with either F- or K- type cords, and you are purchasing a new cord, then the choice is up to you. Most machines are compatible with either type of cord but check your owner’s manual to be sure! One additional note—Ballet “Tapered” needles are only available with K-shanks and therefore require a K-shank needleholder cord.

5. Does Prestige sell used epilators? Does Prestige repair epilators?

No and no. Prestige only sells new equipment. However, sometimes we do sell steeply discounted floor models and “scratch and dent” items. We typically keep these in our Clearance section and since there is normally a limited supply, be sure to check back often!

6. Does Prestige sharpen or recondition tweezers?

Good news! We do offer refurbishing of tweezers purchased from us, specifically the Dumont, Peer and Regine brands. If you are interested in this program, you can call or email us to confirm your tweezer brands and quantities. Once approved, you’ll receive a reference number and can mail in your tweezers to us. We will review and contact you with the total cost to refurbish, generally $9.25 per tweezer.

As an alternative, you may want to consider is to sharpen tweezers yourself using a sharpening stone, available here. Sharpening will effectively extend the life of each pair of tweezers.

It’s important to note Diamond Grip tweezers should not be sharpened as it will result in loss of the diamond dust that provides their namesake gripping power. What’s more, Diamond Grip tweezers should never be soaked in disinfectants that contain Glutaraldehyde, which will also destroy their diamond coating.

7. Where can full “sharps containers” be disposed?

The regulations for the disposal of sharps varies from state to state. You’ll need to follow the proper disposal procedure and locations mandated by the state in which you practice. One possibility is to check with your local pharmacy or hospital to learn if they will dispose of your sharps container, as they often will for their diabetic patients or customers. If you’re on friendly terms with your doctor or dentist, they may also agree to accept your discarded sharps at no charge.

8. What are Prestige Online Reward Points?

At Prestige, we love our loyal customers and to show our appreciation, we’ve developed a special rewards program.

Here’s how it works:
1. First, prior to making any online purchases, you MUST log in to your Prestige account. This is the only way for us to know you are an approved PROFESSIONAL customer—and, therefore, the only way you can view ALL of our products and discounted prices available ONLY to our professional customers.

2. For your online orders you will accrue Prestige Rewards Points (PRPs) which you can apply toward future purchases. Points earned may vary based on the products in your cart.  You’ll be able to see how many points you’ve accrued in your account. PRPs remain valid for one year
from the date they are earned so be sure to redeem your points fairly often!

3.  In order to redeem points toward purchases, you must first accrue 1,000 points. When you do, a box will appear during the checkout process allowing you to redeem your points. You can choose to redeem points in increments of $25 for a single transaction. When you redeem points, you will see both your discount and new point total displayed during the checkout process.

4. PRPs are awarded for ONLINE purchases only. We’re always happy to answer questions and assist you over the
phone, but to qualify for PRPs, your final purchase must be made online.
